Brief introduction

      Shanghai-Hongkong jointly invested Shanghai SIIC Transportation Electric Co., Ltd. (for short: STEC) was established in November 1988. The predecessor of it, Shanghai Transportation Electric Factory was founded in 1951.
      STEC is a key enterprise in the auto electronic and electric appliances system in China. The company has accredited the ISO9001, QS9000, VDA6.1, ISO/TS16949 quality systems, OHSAS18001:1999 Occupational Health and safety management system and ISO14001 environment system. The company has a Research and Development Center which owns various technology talents, and a Manufacturing center with complete production functions. The company develops and manufactures hundred varieties of auto motors, auto electric appliances and auto electronic appliances, which are classified into more than 10 categories, of auto comfort systems, auto body control systems and auto security systems. The company’s products are supplied for the famous auto manufacturers in China and overseas, and have been sold well in over 30 countries and regions such as North America, Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia.
      Now the company owns 6 joint ventures which are: Valeo Shanghai Automotive Electric Motors & Wiper Systems Co., Ltd., Shanghai Brose Automotive Components Co., Ltd., Shanghai Inteva Automotive Door Systems Co., Ltd., Shanghai LEAR STEC Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., Shanghai Inteva Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Shenhua Automotive Electronic Co., Ltd.
